A short story by Margaret Frazer that is not as interesting as her novels because of the historical content (the Lollards) and the lack of detail about the victim and his cause.She is such a master of the historical period that the detail in the story is very interesting. Her main characters are well done and I enjoyed the tale as I do all of her stories and novels.

I was expecting a novel, but this is more of a short story. Well written and interesting as is usual with the author's writing.
Quite a twist in the solution
I have read the "Dame Frevise" Series and I must say this book is very similar to the other series. I probably would buy another one soon.
Sad that Frazer has decided to stick with shorts. I miss the full blown stories but I admit she is really a great story teller. Read them and see
Loved this book but found it finished very suddenly, almost as if another chapter was needed. I shall read the other Bishop Pecock books.
I have always enjoyed Margaret Frazer's stories and would recommend them in a second to EVERYONE who enjoys Bishop Peacock Tales!
